WIG? - Peter Saville and Malcolm Garrett.

As I'm going to be attending the talk I thought I'd do a bit of research on the speakers. Both designers work heavily influenced the look and feel of the music industry in the north. Peter work with such names Factory records and Joy division and produced these highly memorable and innovative designs.

Whilst searching the internet for information on Saville I came across this interesting website. Not too sure if it has anything to do with him but I thought it was a really cool way of interacting with the website.

Malcolm Garrett was the first of the two designers to produce a published piece of design and it was a record sleeve for the band The Buzzcocks second hit Orgasm Addict. He later went on to work with the likes of Magazine, Simple Minds, Duran Duran and Peter Gabriel.

Both of these designers have played a big part in the music industry and for me I prefer the works of Saville. I enjoy the composition of his work more and how contemporary it is even now 30 years later.
